Become A Director

The Guelph Campus Co-operative is governed by a member volunteer Board of Directors (the Board), of which the majority vote must be in student control.   The Board, on behalf of the membership, oversees the Managers and staff of the Co-op, and sets policy directing the Co-op’s operations and services.

The membership of the Guelph Campus Co-op elects new directors to the Board every fall, at our Annual General Meeting.  Terms are for two years at a time.

If you are a member in good standing of the Guelph Campus Co-operative, then you are eligible to sit on the Board of Directors and we would encourage you to consider running.

Participation in the GCC Board of Directors allows individuals to develop their skill set, gain professional experience, and help to influence the effectiveness of the Co-op’s services.   Training in all areas is provided and the Board is supported by non-voting staff members.
