The Guelph Campus Co-operative elects new directors at our Annual General Meeting each Fall semester.
If you are a member of the Guelph Campus Co-operative you are eligible to sit on the Board of Directors. Below is some information to help you decide if this is the opportunity for you.
We are a student owned and democratically-controlled co-operative committed to serving the best interests of our membership by operating effectively in areas significant to student life- focusing on the provision of housing and textbooks.
The GCC Board requires directors possessing the following:
- Available for monthly meetings of the directors
- Willingness to attend mandatory Introductory and Advanced board training sessions
- Willingness to attend Strategic Planning events and participate on committees
- A general understanding of the role of board member
- Respect for the co-operative values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others
- Values the principles of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity
- Previous committee and/or board experience an asset
- Previous knowledge of the GCC’s history and operations an asset
- Willing to be a member of the Guelph Campus Co-operative
